The price of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra recently dropped to a new all-time low.

After yet another price reduction, there are currently some fantastic offers available on one of Samsung’s top premium wearables for Android owners looking for a better smartwatch deal. Amazon currently sells the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra for $499.99, down from $649.99. The watch’s price has never been lower.

Although it has spent a large portion of October around the $550 level, it did drop as low as $509.99 earlier in the month. As an alternative, Samsung is offering the Galaxy Watch Ultra for as cheap as $188.90 if you have a wearable to trade in.

In any case, these offers represent significant savings on a watch that is ideal for active users who wish to trek all day (and beyond) without worrying about running out of energy. Because of its sturdy titanium construction, it is very resilient and capable of withstanding swimming in the water. I do not anticipate the promotion will last long at this price because it is a limited-time offer at both sites.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is the best Samsung watch available and has swiftly earned a solid spot in our ranking of the top smartwatches. In addition to being extremely durable, it has sophisticated health features like blood pressure monitoring tools and an ECG. We praised the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra’s durable titanium casing and programmable Quick Button for customizing the device’s settings in our review.

The screen is not any bigger than a typical 44mm Galaxy Watch, and the battery life is still somewhat short when compared to what Garmin watches can offer. Hiking maps and running analytics, in particular, are two of its outdoor-focused features that more than make up for that. Since the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is an expensive gadget, many consumers will be content with previous generations. For this reason, we have selected a few Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 offers. Instead, avoid these and take advantage of the Apple Watch deals that are also available today if you are an Apple enthusiast.

  • 100-hour battery life Android smartwatch OnePlus Watch 2

100-hour battery life Android smartwatch OnePlus Watch 2

The OnePlus Watch 2 is now available on Amazon for $250, which is $50 less than its usual price. Because of this, it is among the greatest and easiest smartwatches we have tried.

In 2021, OnePlus released the OnePlus Watch, and I ordered it right away because the hardware looked amazing and it cost $159. I sent the item back after a few weeks because it did not provide anything useful.

    oneplus watch 2

Since many smartwatches operate lean and mean, the Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) used by the original OnePlus Watch was ideal. With a dual-engine design, the OnePlus Watch 2 this year goes one step further by providing both Wear OS 4 and RTOS on a single watch. The gadget has a longer battery life than any other Google Wear OS or Apple Watch thanks to its innovative design, making it the most effective Wear OS watch on the market right now.

    oneplus watch 2

    OnePlus Watch 2

32GB, 100-Hour Battery, Health & Fitness Tracking, Sapphire Crystal Design, Dual-Engine, Wear OS by Google

    Best choice

OnePlus has produced one of the most stylish smartwatches on the market right now, in addition to a strong operating system strategy. The watch features a 2.5D smooth sapphire crystal face, a sturdy silicone band, and a stainless steel watch case. With an oval button on the bottom and a round button on top, the buttons on the right are elegantly integrated into the bezel.

With its IP68 rating and 5 ATM water resistance, the OnePlus Watch 2 is safe to wear when swimming and engaging in other outdoor activities. Furthermore, the device surpasses even the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro because it was constructed to meet MIL-STD-810H specifications.

According to OnePlus, the watch may last up to 12 days in power-saver mode, 100 hours in Smart Mode, and 48 hours when used extensively. Its battery is 500 mAh. I was able to charge the watch every three to four days and wear it around the clock during my two weeks of testing. I used the gadget for active heart-rate monitoring while indoor rowing, GPS tracking while running and walking, and more.

    oneplus watch 2

The always-on display mode will use up the battery more quickly. However, when I first tested it, I left the always-on display off because I discovered that the lift-to-wake feature worked great.

The OnePlus Watch 2 boasts a great battery life, but it also supports 7.5W VOOC fast charging, which allows you to charge it to 100% in just one hour and wear it for a day much faster. Fast charging, CPU efficiency, and a long battery life are the ideal combinations for a smartwatch.

Both L5 and L1 satellite positions are available, and Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS GNSS are supported. The tracking of the watch was nearly identical to that of my specialized GPS sports watches. Additionally, Wear OS support allows you to utilize your favorite watch apps instead of OHealth. The watch’s heart-rate tracking was precise as well.

The OnePlus watch does not function with an Apple iPhone, and you must have the OHealth software installed on your Android phone. The OHealth app is used to control the watch apps and settings, as well as the health and wellness functions, thus the Wear OS app is not used.

    OnePlus Watch 2

    Best choice

I find the OHealth app to have a more user-friendly UI than the Fitbit and Google applications that come with Pixel Watches. OnePlus has stated publicly that it has intentions to offer syncing to other services, like Strava, in the future, but for now, the data gathered by the OnePlus Watch 2 is still in OHealth.

    OnePlus Watch 2r ohealth app

You can measure your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, sleep, workouts, and more with the OHealth app and OnePlus Watch 2. The Wear OS tiles that show up when you swipe left and right on the watch face may also be managed through the OHealth app. I found the OHealth app to be more user-friendly than the Wear OS app on a Pixel phone, and it has a lot of settings.

Check out the many workout and health options, such as heart-rate alerts, breathing tests while you sleep, auto-workout detection, and even the ability to customize the screens for your preferred routines.

There is potential for development even if the OnePlus Watch 2 is a far better watch than the original model. The watch lacks cellular connectivity, has a single 47mm diameter and weighs 80 grams, is not the best for people with smaller wrists, does not support fall detection, can not control a OnePlus phone camera from the watch (though this will be fixed in a future update), does not have any features for tracking women’s health, can not record ECG readings, and does not have a skin-temperature sensor.

    oneplus watch 2 ss4

But I really enjoyed wearing this classy watch and used the face swipe to access my favorite tiles. I can not use the Google Pixel Watch since it is very small and has a limited battery life. Better solutions at affordable prices are possible, as demonstrated by the OnePlus Watch 2.

Our evaluation gave the Roborock Q7 Max+ (review) a 4.5 out of 5, highlighting its easy setup and vacuuming capabilities. The loud noise it makes when emptying the robovac’s built-in dust canister is its sole small drawback. Even if it is becoming outdated, we still think it is an excellent cleaner, especially at this rate.

From unpacking to installing the base station and connecting the cleaning demon to your Wi-Fi network, using the Roborock Q7 Max+, which is compatible with iOS and Android, takes very little labor.A sizable 2.5-liter bin at the automatic station allows for seven weeks of hands-free cleaning.

It has a 4,200 Pa suction power rating and works well on carpets and parquet floors when cleaning. Users can choose from four different cleaning modes: quiet, balanced, turbo, and max, which guarantees a flexible cleaning experience. The majority of liquid stains are removed by its vibrating mop. In order to keep it away from carpets and rugs when mopping, it also supports the no-mop and no-go zones.

    roborock q7 max+ black

For those who value privacy, it does not have a camera and uses LiDAR to navigate precisely and avoid obstacles. It also includes a 3D mapping, just like the more expensive models. Another positive aspect of it is its battery life, which lasts 180 minutes between charges. Are you hoping to get it at this cost? In your opinion, which of its features is most helpful for maintaining clean floors? Tell us in the comments section.

Your personal information may be collected and shared by a variety of applications. For example, why would an alarm clock app require access to your contact list or camera? You may greatly improve the security of your data by limiting the permissions you grant.

Android 15: when you should expect to get the update?

Surprisingly, Android 15 was not made available on Pixel phones. Chinese company Vivo outperformed the whole Android ecosystem by releasing a solid Android 15 update first, following the stable AOSP release without a Pixel OTA update. Check to see if your phone is set to receive Android 15 if you do not already own the pioneering (and specialized) Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

The developer versions of Android 15 could be tested on a few phones even before Google declared it had achieved “platform stability.” In order to choose which phones should receive the upgrade first, brands like Honor, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, and others established their own official test programs.

The Pixel phones will be the first to get the upgrade because they are the flagship model for the Android operating system. Additionally, there are more Google phones eligible for the upcoming Android update this time around because the Pixel 9 phones were released prior to the 2024 release of Android 15.

    Samsung

After many years of poor updates, Samsung has started fulfilling its pledge to improve phone support. Customers may now know how long their phones will be updated to protect them from security dangers according to the South Korean company’s transparent software strategy.

At SDC 2024, Samsung did, however, declare that the One UI 7, which is based on Android 15, would not be made available to the general public until early 2025. However, the Koreans also mentioned that by the end of 2024, the One UI 7 beta will be accessible for public testing by developers and testers.

By introducing really intriguing phones in 2023, like the OnePlus Open, OnePlus was able to quiet its detractors and equal Samsung’s flagship software update program.

    Asus

In 2023, the Taiwanese company’s dedication to Android was momentarily called into question, and Asus swiftly refuted reports that the Zenfone line may be discontinued. The list of Zenfone and ROG phones that will receive the Android 15 update is extremely limited due to its small flagship lineup and short update strategy, which typically only includes two Android upgrades:

    • Asus ROG Phone 7
    • Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate
    • Asus ROG Phone 8
    • Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro
    • Asus Zenfone 10

In addition to the models above, these brands are also taking part in the Android 15 public beta test:

    Honor

    • Honor Magic 6 Pro
    • Honor Magic V2

    Vivo

Vivo managed to beat not only Samsung but also Google at its own game. The Chinese brand released the stable Android 15 update before other brands to its Vivo X Fold 3 Pro smartphone, with its FuntouchOS 15 release. The next phones should be the ones that were in the beta program:

However, you were already aware of that. Companies will begin to subtly lower their pricing starting on October Prime Day, merely to see how things work. Fortunately, I can discover them for you thanks to my seven years of experience covering this most delightful time of the year.

Furthermore, rest certain that we are not directing you toward any out-of-date models. Actually, every one of these offers is on the newest and best hardware. These range from a whopping $200 off the M3 MacBook Air to a great $150 off my favorite gaming laptop, the Asus TUF Gaming A14!

So if you are in the market for a Chromebook, a powerful gaming PC, or even an incredibly affordable Copilot+ PC (looking at you, $849 Galaxy Book4 Edge), and you do not want to wait until November, these bargains are definitely worth checking out.

Garmin Fenix 8 stable update comes with features, improvements and bug fixes

Having been unveiled at the end of August in tandem, the Fenix E, Garmin Fenix 8, and Enduro 3 have had a mixed start. Leaving aside the choice to replace some of its smartwatches for outdoor activity with AMOLED screens, numerous forum posts claimed that Garmin had issued all three with problematic launch software. In order to achieve this, Garmin has been packing beta releases full of problem patches.

On the other hand, the initial stable versions made little tweaks here and there with their change logs, failing to solve every issue that was being discussed online. To put it briefly, since the Enduro 3, Fenix E, and Garmin Fenix 8 (buy it now at $1,099.99 on Amazon) were released, a long list of faults has been reported, but Garmin has not officially addressed them. But this is essentially confirmed by the comprehensive changelog that comes with System Software 11.89.

The changelog for System Software 11.89, which is shown below, is approximately fifty lines long, eleven of which are devoted to new features. For instance, voice commands are now available for adjusting display brightness, while AMOLED models lacking solar charging capabilities can now utilize Solar watch face patterns. Furthermore, nearly as many “improvements” have been made, which are claimed to address a variety of topics, such as decreasing power consumption on the map page and improving the responsiveness of the user interface compared to previous builds.

However, System Software 11.89 also brings about thirty-one problem fixes, all of which are listed in the forum posts that accompany the software and which we have replicated below. The Enduro 3, Fenix E, and Garmin Fenix 8 are said to have received System Software 11.89, which has been “completely released,” by Garmin. You can start the download of System Software 11.89 by going to Menu, System and Software Update, and then selecting ‘Check For Updates,’ even though the firm has not yet released any additional information regarding the update’s worldwide deployment.

Save significantly on post-Prime Day price on the Pixel 8 256GB.

Even if October Prime Day 2024 is gone, you can still get a brand-new Pixel 8 phone at a great discount! Even after the promotion has officially concluded, there is still a significant discount available on the Pixel 8 with 256GB of storage capacity.

You may currently save $200 on this excellent phone, making your final payment less than $560. Although the current reduction is smaller than the $250 Prime Day discount, it is still comparable to the price during Amazon’s massive sale. This particular model was discounted by $250. Considering the discount and phone that this offer is valid for, we advise moving swiftly since it may expire shortly. Even though it is an older model, the Pixel 8 is still among the greatest phones available.
