Vivo X300 Pro benchmark leak: Dimensity 9500 outperforms Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Similar to its predecessors, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 maintains its competitiveness and occasionally even surpasses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. At least if the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and Vivo X300 Pro’s recent benchmarks are any indication.

Earlier this week, Vivo introduced the Vivo X300 series, the company’s first phones to use MediaTek‘s top Dimensity 9500 processor. Early benchmarks of the SoC on MediaTek’s test device revealed a modest inferiority to Qualcomm’s, but more recent ones suggest the situation is more nuanced.

Vivo X300 Pro vs Xiaomi 17 Pro Max AnTuTu benchmark

The Vivo X300 Pro and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Xiaomi 17 Pro Max have now been tested side by side under nearly comparable settings, and their AnTuTu benchmark results have appeared online. Unexpectedly, the Vivo gadget outperforms the Xiaomi, scoring 3,956,885 overall compared to 3,731,077 for the Xiaomi. In actuality, the latter score is higher than what that phone achieves on the current AnTuTu list.

Though not significantly, the Vivo X300 Pro also performed better on the CPU, GPU, and memory tests. Additionally, even though the Vivo’s battery is much smaller, both phones’ battery life decreased by 5%. But the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max remained colder.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Satellite Edition to launch with massive 6800mAh battery

The business is getting ready to add another high-end model to its lineup following the release of the Xiaomi 17 variants. According to input, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which will soon be available to consumers, will have a 6800mAh battery and new satellite features.

Xiaomi appears to be attempting to compete with Honor in the smartphone battery market. At the moment, the only phone manufacturer with cell packs larger than 6500mAh is Magic. Maybe Xiaomi will soon follow suit.

According to Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra with a large battery pack might make its appearance by the end of this year. This is essentially the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s dual-satellite variant, which just received network certification.

This gadget, which has the model number 25128PNA1C, is qualified by China’s Radio Certification database. It is the satellite version that supports Beidou and Tiantong-1 connectivity, not the standard version. To put it another way, customers have the option to send and receive satellite messages or make satellite calls.

The certificate’s next requirement is support for Ultra-Wideband, or UWB. It will make it possible for the gadget to continue having smooth connectivity with several devices simultaneously.

Three versions of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra are anticipated to be available: China, Global, and Indian. There will be two versions of the first one: Regular and Dual-Satellite.

In the meantime, Xiaomi might modify the device’s battery and other internal components for the worldwide market. Little is known about the new model at this time. However, we might soon learn additional details about the next “Ultra” phone.

Xiaomi has fully eschewed the 16th generation in favor of launching the new 17 series domestically. It is currently getting ready to launch the flagship portfolio in foreign markets. Let’s wait and watch when this happens.

Xiaomi 17 launches with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, secondary display, and big battery

Xiaomi just unveiled its newest three flagship phones in China. The Xiaomi 17 series boasts a new design, rear-facing screens, and batteries that can hold up to 7,500 mAh.

The Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max are the first Android phones to use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU, and they are arriving in China before making their global debut. Each of the three phones has a different pricing range, with the Xiaomi 17 base model being the most economical.

Starting at CNY 4,499, or around $630 USD, the Xiaomi 17 boasts a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, 12GB/16GB of RAM, and 256GB/512GB of storage. The phone boasts a large battery and four 50MP cameras—three on the back and one on the front. This phone from Xiaomi has a 7,000 mAh battery that can be charged at 100W and wirelessly at 50W.

With a fresh look, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max, meanwhile, go one step further.

The smaller Xiaomi 17 Pro features a second OLED display on the rear in addition to the same 6.3-inch display as the standard model. Two of the 50MP rear cameras are encircled by the 2.66-inch display, which also has a third 50MP back camera beneath it and a 50MP selfie camera. It can be utilized with personalized themes, “Dynamic Notifications,” and sticky notes. It can also manage media controls and play games with a special case (via GSMArena). The Xiaomi 17 Pro, which starts at CNY 4,999, features a 6,300 mAh battery and up to 1TB of storage.

With its enormous 7.500 mAh battery and 6.9-inch display, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max goes above and beyond.

The Pro Max’s rear display is identical to the smaller model’s, including the same 2.66-inch LCD and features. The screen and battery capacity are the only things that separate the two sizes. The design is even the same. The starting price of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is CNY 5,999.

Since the Xiaomi 15 series debuted globally in March of last year, we can presumably anticipate a global launch in February, give or take, given today’s early Xiaomi 17 launch in China. These phones will go on sale in China on September 27.
