The Razr Fold Is Almost Here — Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Motorola didn’t exactly shout it from the rooftops, but buried in the fine print of its UK pre-order page is a shipping date: May 6.

That makes the Razr Fold — Motorola’s first book-style foldable, departing from its signature flip-phone Razr lineup — one of the most imminent big foldable launches of the year.

Pre-orders are live in the UK and Europe

Motorola is already taking pre-orders across the UK and Europe, and the early incentives are hard to ignore. Every pre-order comes with a free Moto Watch and Moto Buds Loop. UK buyers also get a £220 discount, dropping the price to £1,579.99. European customers save €250, bringing it down to €1,749.99.

No official US release date has been announced yet, though Motorola is collecting registrations on its US site.

What will it cost in the US?

Direct currency conversion puts the UK price around $2,443 and the European price around $2,362 — but those figures won’t translate to US shelf prices. Based on Motorola’s typical pricing patterns, expect a $1,999 starting price stateside, which would put it squarely in line with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7.

One edge the Razr Fold has at that price: 512GB of storage comes standard on the entry model.

    What you’re actually getting

In hands-on time with the device, the Razr Fold feels slightly thicker and heavier than its competition — a fair trade-off for what’s packed inside. The spec sheet is legitimate flagship territory: triple 50MP cameras, a 6,000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 16GB RAM, and support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus.

No obvious compromises. Just a different form factor than Razr fans are used to.

    The bigger picture

Motorola is entering the book-style foldable market at a smart moment — ahead of Apple’s widely anticipated iPhone Fold, expected this fall. Whether “Razr” is the right name for a phone that doesn’t flip is a fair question, but the hardware makes a strong case for itself.

The foldable wars are heating up. Motorola just picked a side.

  • Pre-order and store availability of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Pre-order and store availability of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

The next Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for later this month, according to Samsung. The second generation of Galaxy AI and a variety of linked peripherals will undoubtedly be the subject of significant attention. However, the new Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the focus of the community’s attention.

There are a few dates to be mindful of if you want to buy any of the new phones, including the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra, in order to receive the device as soon as possible and at a reasonable price.

    Registering for Galaxy Unpacked

For those who are interested, Samsung has already begun the procedure. Customers can now express their interest in the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy AI through a new program that offers a $50 gift card for “additional qualified products.” Additionally, a questionnaire including a $50 offer was sent to Samsung registered users via email.

However, those who express interest must do so before January 21st, the day before Galaxy Unpacked.

When will Galaxy S25 Ultra pre-orders open?

In the past, Samsung opened pre-orders at the conclusion of Galaxy Unpacked events that included phone debuts. Pre-orders are anticipated to open an hour or two after the Galaxy Unpacked event begins on January 22 at 1300 Eastern/1000 Pacific.

In contrast to other years, there has been talk of Samsung moving the pre-order system’s opening from the Wednesday event to the morning of Friday, January 24. Regardless of the start date, pre-orders are probably going to end on Tuesday, February 4.

There is another reason why the pre-order period will be significant. Samsung usually gives customers who buy a new Galaxy during the pre-order phase some of its finest discounts. A free upgrade to the next storage tier (so those purchasing the Galaxy S25 Ultra priced for the 512 GB model would receive the 1 TB storage model), a number of exclusive colors that were only available on Samsung.com, and generous trade-ins on a variety of smartphones from Samsung and other manufacturers, such as Google and Apple, were all features of last year.

    Retail availability

Delivery of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will coincide with its retail availability after you have registered your interest, seen the Galaxy Unpacked premiere, and placed your pre-order. Deliveries to customers who placed preorders are anticipated to begin on Friday, February 7.

  • Pre-order the OnePlus 11 to get the best #deal

Pre-order the OnePlus 11 to get the best #deal

The OnePlus 11, which was previously available only in China, has now arrived in the US. Pre-orders have now been available for the flagship device. Here are the finest locations to order the device in advance and locate the best discounts and trade-in prices.

    OnePlus 11 pre-orders

Even without the enormous camera array on the back of the phone, the OnePlus 11 offers a lot. The OnePlus 11 features top-notch specs on the inside. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, as much as 16 GB of RAM, and either 128 or 256 GB of internal UFS 4.0 storage are all included in that.

The 50MP Hasselblad-branded sensor system is housed in a well-known wraparound camera configuration on the back of the device by OnePlus. The 5,000mAh battery is charged using an 80W rapid charging system. Unfortunately, the US model can only charge at 80W while other models can do so at 100W. Additionally, this time around there is no wireless charging.

The best part about the flagship device from OnePlus is the price. The OnePlus 11 comes in at $699, taking a bite at the competitively priced Pixel 7 series while offering a Qaulacomm SoC and other heavy specs.

    Pre-order the OnePlus 11

    OnePlus.com

As is normally the case, the website with the best deal is from the company selling the device, OnePlus. With a Red Cable Club account, buyers earn a number of points for future purchases. On a purchase like the OnePlus 11, that means getting a larger amount of credits.

Although rewards points are fantastic, the real value is seen when you trade in your outdated technology. Naturally, OnePlus has some restrictions. According to OnePlus, you’ll receive an immediate $500 credit toward your OnePlus 11 purchase if you trade in a OnePlus smartphone, yet we were unable to make this credit show up.

You can also receive up to $200 with that and any other trade-ins; this money could be paid to you after you make a purchase or be made immediately. For instance, OnePlus will add $200 to the trade-in value of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, making the total trade-in value $560. These values wouldn’t even come close to justifying the trade-in without the credit.

If you’re looking for accessories with your OnePlus 11 pre-order, now would be the time to bundle the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. At $50 off, those who are looking to keep it in the OnePlus ecosystem will want to take that offer up.

    Best Buy

The second best place to pick up the OnePlus 11 is Best Buy. Unfortunately, the company isn’t offering trade-in deals with pre-orders, however, customers who place a pre-order will get a $100 gift card. While it isn’t a glamorous trade-in bonus, a Best Buy gift card can go a lot further than OnePlus credit if you already have the devices you need.

The OnePlus 11 should ship out around February 16, with pre-orders going on until the day before.

  • Pre-orders – Nubia Red Magic 5G with 144Hz screen and cooling fan

Pre-orders – Nubia Red Magic 5G with 144Hz screen and cooling fan

The last flagship of Nubia is only a few months old, but that doesn’t stop the Chinese company from adding a new high-end smartphone to their gaming-focused Red Magic line. Following the growing trend of 5G-enabled phones, Nubia unveiled the Red Magic 5 G for its home market with outstanding features such as an air-cooling system and a high-refresh screen. In this sector, there is an unsaid rule: A handset can not enter the gaming-phone club unless it has a flashy design with some kind of RGB lighting. The Red Magic 5 G does just that and with its multi-colored, multi-textured rear finish, it takes it a step higher.

In addition to these hues, the unit aims to draw your attention with two vents on its sides, which are used to sustain the airflow using a miniature cooling fan, mimicking the kind of laptop setups. Combined with liquid cooling, it helps keep the temperature of the Processor down and curbs the heat produced by a 55W brick charging cycle.

For allowing smoother visuals when gaming, the Red Magic 5G’s 1080p AMOLED screen refreshes at 144Hz, which is perhaps the highest rate on any smartphone. It rocks a Snapdragon 865 along with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of on-board storage. The triple-camera system on the back includes a 64MP primary sensor, while the handset packs a 4500mAh battery along with an in-display fingerprint reader. It comes running the custom Red Magic OS, which is based on Android 10.

    Pre-orders Nubia Red Magic

Nubia has announced that pre-orders for the Red Magic 5G are now live. You can deposit $30 to get a voucher to buy the phone as one of the first when it launches April 21. Every day leading up to that date, the first 100 customers will also be able to get the voucher for $5.79, saving them $24.21.

The version with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM in Eclipse Black will cost $579 (€579/£539), and a Hot Rod Red version that’s “coming soon” will go for the same price. There’s also a 256GB/12GB variant in a “Pulse” color that you can get for $649 (€649/£599).

The Red Magic 5G will be available in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, and a few more countries around the world: Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Macao.

  • Galaxy S20 is official, 5G across the board, and a high price tags

Galaxy S20 is official, 5G across the board, and a high price tags

Samsung used to launch its Galaxy S flagship series during MWC but it shifted the announcement long before the trade show to a separate event. Samsung finally took off the wraps of its Galaxy S20 series consisting of the Galaxy S20, the S20+ and the S20 Plus after months of leaks and a very revealing Galaxy Z Flip commercial during the Oscars.

The new phones all feature the same understated style of glass-sandwich with humongous camera bumps on the back and curved displays on the front, varying only in size and quantity of outside lenses. We are packed with the latest hardware which gives them substantial jumps in performance compared to their predecessors.

They all support 5 G out of the US box and come with at least 128 GB of (expandable) storage and 12 GB of RAM, with some versions of the Galaxy S20 Ultra going up to 16 GB — that’s the amount of regular storage that many smartphones used to ship with in 2013. The phones will arrive in the US with the Snapdragon 865, which can be considered one of the greatest technological advances in long-term mobile chips. Many regions are having the Exynos 990, which need not be afraid of contrast.

    galaxy s20 series

On the imaging front the new Galaxy series also impresses. The base S20 quadruples the megapixel count of any S10, going from a maximum of 16MP on a single camera to a new high of 64MP for the main camera. The Ultra goes a step further and sports the same 108MP wide-angle sensor already producing high-resistance images on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 from Samsung.

    galaxy s20 camera

Combined with the other lenses (three in total on all plus a fourth S20+ and S20 Ultra Depth Vision sensor) and Samsung’s new image processing algorithms, these cameras should be able to produce great images in a variety of situations. As for video, the phones will capture 8 K footage.

Turning to the front of the device, we see on all of them Samsung’s new Infinity-O display style, which places the front-facing camera cutout in the middle of the notification bar. This could make it more noticeable when watching videos, but the default refresh rate of 120Hz that is available across all three phones will make up for that.

The HD+ AMOLED displays of the S20 series, together with support for HDR10+, will render videos and images beautiful to look at. Samsung also opted not to include a biometric face unlock feature but, despite the anachronistic top bezel of the Pixel 4 and the enormous notch of the iPhone, different aesthetic preferences undoubtedly played a role in that decision.
