Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro leak ahead of launch

We are now seeing the hardware for the first time. Recently, a TikTok user shared a video showcasing the 15T Pro’s front and back, showcasing the rear panel’s copper-like appearance.

It should come as no surprise that the camera island, which is situated in the upper left corner, is formed like a rounded square with beveled edges and has Leica branding in the center.

What to expect?

According to rumors, the phone will have a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 telephoto camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX9100 primary camera. It might have a Samsung S5KKDS selfie sensor on the front.

The tablet may have a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset on the inside, along with 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. According to reports, the 128GB variant costs €799, and the 256GB model would cost €899. The Pro model’s storage specifications are consistent with our earlier findings, and a 1TB version may even be available in some markets.

Multiple certification databases have already included both phones, indicating that an official launch is imminent. Hopefully, Xiaomi won’t hold off on revealing all the information for very long.

Xiaomi 15 gets Android 16 update via beta program

A pilot version of the Android 16 update is currently available to Xiaomi 15 owners. The Xiaomi 15’s Android 16 upgrade still uses HyperOS 2.0 as its foundation. For a limited number of users, the pilot release functions similarly to the final beta build. The Android 16 pilot update has apparently been made available to Xiaomi 15 customers in the US and other countries.

Google formally unveiled Android 16 last month, and as of right now, only Pixel smartphones can run its stable build. Whether the Xiaomi 15 will be the first non-Pixel handset to receive stable Android 16 or if customers will have to wait a little while longer would be interesting to observe. As an alternative, Samsung might lead since the stable Android 16 build is anticipated for the Galaxy S25 later this month.

Xiaomi 15 to be the first who receive HyperOS 2.3 with Android 16

The build number for the Xiaomi 15’s Android 16 upgrade is 2.0.217.0.WOCMIXM. The 7.8GB size of the upgrade was anticipated given its importance. So, if you have the update, be sure to download it over WiFi.

A sample of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra displays outstanding night photography

Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, just lately commended the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s photographic capabilities. He has now released the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s first official camera sample, which shows a nighttime picture with intricate lighting. The sample supports Xiaomi’s boasts of significant breakthroughs in mobile photography with its remarkable clarity, noise management, highlight suppression, and color correctness.

However, the watermark data is the most interesting detail. Instead of using the primary sensor, the new 200MP periscope telephoto camera was used to take the picture. With its f/2.6 aperture, 100mm focal length, and corresponding 4.3x optical zoom, the ISOCELL HP9 sensor offers notable gains in low-light and telephoto capabilities.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra faces fierce competition when compared to rivals. A 200MP HP9 sensor with an 85mm focal length and an f/2.67 aperture is also used by the Vivo X200 Pro. The 200MP ISOCELL HP3 sensor in the Honor Magic7 RSR, on the other hand, has a brighter f/1.88 aperture and a 70mm focal length.
